🎆 Age of Product’s Roadmap 2017: Ebooks, Webinars, and an Online Course

TL; DR: Age of Product’s Roadmap 2017

Happy New Year! 2016 was a very rewarding year of blogging in general and curating the ‘Food for Agile Thought’ newsletter in particular. Therefore, it is an easy decision to spend more time in 2017 on helping you to excel as an agile practitioner.

Age of Product’s roadmap 2017 is all about creating more ebooks, webinars and an online course to help you identify the right position as a Scrum Master or Product Owner. Additionally, I will also continue the ‘Agile Transition’ series on how to get started with an agile transition.

Age of Product’s Roadmap 2017

This is what I am currently working on:

More Ebooks to Prepare You for Interviews as Product Owner or Scrum Master

Starting in January, I will publish the “42 Product Owner Interview Questions” ebook, covering possible interview questions for Product Owner candidates.

(If you're working or planning to work as a Scrum Master, you will be interested in this set of interview questions, too. You will receive the download link per email once it is available.)

In late February, I will publish the third edition of the “38 Scrum Master Interview Questions” ebook. I will add sections on agile metrics as well as on how to scale agile, branching out into LeSS, SAFe, and probably DAD.

The first two editions have been downloaded almost 6,500 times for a good reason—it pays off:

Hi Stefan, My name is Ali Mohammed and I am an IT Recruiter. I had submitted one of the resumes for the position of Scrum Master. The resume had been shortlisted and the manager asked for an interview. I shared your PDF with him and we discussed a lot on this. He’s been selected, and the client raised the offer against him.

(Read the comment here.)

Finally, I will continue the “Agile Transition” series of articles. In 2017, I will cover my experience of introducing Large Scale Scrum (LeSS) to a product delivery organization of five Scrum teams. (Download the ‘Agile Transition – A Hands-on Guide from the Trenches’ ebook for free.)

Webinars on How to Get Hired as a Scrum Master

In March, I will start running webinars on how to identify the right Scrum Master position for you, and how to master the application process. The webinars will be supported in April by a similar book from the Hands-on Agile series. (The Kindle ebook will be available from Amazon for a five day period for free.)

The Online Course on How to Get Hired as a Scrum Master

We are also planning to publish an online course on how to master the application process for a Scrum Master position. A lot of the techniques for the trial day, for example, can neither be handled by webinar nor by the planned book adequately. However, given the feedback I have received so far, I am convinced that videos and coaching sessions would make a huge difference.

The Most Surprising Insight from 2016

The Hands-on Agile Slack team is growing! What started as an experience back in November 2016 has become a great community of peers. Post a question, and you will receive actionable insights almost in real-time. It is simply awesome support, particularly given that the majority of us is not working in organizations that employ several Scrum Masters or agile coaches.

We are already more than 430 peers, and the old motto “the more, the merrier” truly applies to this community. If you haven’t yet joined, do so now.

State of the Food for Agile Thought Newsletter
